Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for the issues we see most. Still stuck? Reply to your license email and a human will help.

"That doesn't look like a license key"

  • Keys start with IR- followed by 16 characters — copy the whole thing, with no spaces before or after.
  • Copy from your license email or the purchase confirmation screen, not a retyped note.

"License not recognized"

  • Double-check for look-alike characters if you typed it by hand (the key alphabet deliberately omits 0/O and 1/I — if you see them, something was mistyped).
  • Verification happens against iconsroom.com — check your connection, VPN or firewall if every key fails.
  • Refunded or chargeback'd payments deactivate the key automatically.

I lost my key

  • Search your inbox for "Your IconsRoom license key".
  • Signed in when you bought? It's on your dashboard.
  • Otherwise, contact support from the email address you purchased with and we'll resend it.

Icons don't load / search returns nothing

  • Icons are served from files.svgcdn.io and search runs on Algolia — corporate networks or ad-blockers that block those domains will break results.
  • A very new pack may not be fully mirrored yet; try another pack to confirm.

Free plan limits

The website's free plan includes 50 searches and 25 downloads per browser. If you've hit the gate, a lifetime license removes the limits — or keep browsing packs and categories, which are never gated.

Figma-specific

  • The plugin needs network access to Algolia and the icon CDN — both are declared in the manifest; corporate Figma orgs that block plugin network access will stop search.
  • Inserted icons land at your viewport center — zoom out if you don't see them.

VS Code-specific

  • No editor open? The icon is copied to your clipboard instead of inserted — that's by design.
  • Shortcut conflict on ⌘⌥I? Rebind it under Keyboard Shortcuts → "IconsRoom".
